In 2025, the project’s research associate and contemporary extremism researcher, Lauritz H. Petersen, conducted a series of in-depth interviews with the Total Devotion scholars. The conversations translate the project’s key findings into an accessible format, while opening an interdisciplinary dialogue between historical and contemporary research on radical religion. Together, they explore how the project’s theoretical framework, especially its emphasis on narrativity and emotionality, might be applied to diverse cases of radical religion, past and present.
